Candidates with cross-disciplinary expertise are encouraged to apply. These are full-time, non-tenure-track positions with a one-year renewable contract, to begin in the Summer of 2024 (August 16th). The teaching load is 24 credits per 12-month period. This position involves teaching, service, and advising Seton College students.Our priority is to hire an outstanding educator with demonstrated experience using active learning methodologies and knowledge of effective teaching practices for first-generation college students. Master’s degree in a related field is required, a terminal degree is preferred. We seek candidates with genuine interest and expertise in working with first-generation college students from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. Applicants must have teaching experience in the courses listed below, with a demonstrable record of curricular innovation, effective teaching, and advising. A doctorate in the subject area is preferred; a Master’s degree is required.

Responsibilities:
Teach 24 credits per 12-month period in subject area of expertise using teaching practices that have been shown to be effective for first-generation students.
Maintain an engaging and welcoming classroom setting that promotes high standards and inclusivity.
Actively contribute to a professional learning community by participating in faculty led workshops that promote pedagogical learning and growth.
Be present and available to students on campus during regular hours of operation.
Advise Seton college students.
Serve on faculty committees.
Attend faculty meetings.
Some weekends and evenings are required.
